These terms govern your use of Tap&Hire (tapandhire.com). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Tap&Hire is
Tap&Hire is a marketplace that lets local businesses in Dublin publish shift-work vacancies and lets candidates browse them and unlock the employer's contact details. We are not an employment agency and not a party to any employment relationship, offer, or arrangement between a candidate and a business. We don't vet candidates, verify job postings, or guarantee that a posted vacancy leads to a hire.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Candidates can use Tap&Hire for free, or subscribe to a Go or Gold plan for earlier access to new job postings and alerts. Subscriptions are billed and managed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time.
4. If you post jobs as a business
- Job postings must be accurate, genuine, and lawful under Irish employment law — including equality/non-discrimination law and minimum wage rules.
- You're responsible for how you handle candidates who contact you, and for any hiring decisions you make.
- If you turn on Quick Apply, you choose the screening questions candidates answer, and you are the data controller for the answers you receive. Only ask what you genuinely need to assess someone for that role, keep the answers for no longer than you need them, and don't reuse them for anything other than that application.
- Screening questions must comply with Irish equality law. The Employment Equality Acts prohibit discrimination on nine grounds — gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race, and membership of the Traveller community — so don't ask questions that screen on them. Asking about age or the right to work in Ireland is legitimate where the role genuinely requires it (for example, serving alcohol, or confirming a work permit); using the answer to filter people out for any other reason is not.
- We may remove a screening question, or turn off Quick Apply for an account, if a question breaches these terms.
- We may remove a posting or restrict an account if we believe a posting is fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise breaches these terms.
5. If you use Tap&Hire as a candidate
- Use the contact details you unlock only to reach out about the specific job you unlocked them for.
- Be respectful when contacting businesses — no harassment, spam, or misrepresentation of who you are.
- Answer screening questions honestly. Answering is voluntary — you can skip any optional question, or skip the job — but an application records what you declared at the time, and a business may rely on it. If you believe a question you were asked is unlawful or inappropriate, tell us at hello@tapandhire.com.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the site.
- Attempt to bypass the contact-unlock or subscription gates.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
7. Disclaimers and liability
Tap&Hire is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that job postings are accurate, that candidates are suitable, or that using the service will result in a hire or a job offer. To the extent permitted by Irish law, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the service, including from interactions between candidates and businesses that happen off-platform.
8. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or is used fraudulently or abusively.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do — continuing to use Tap&Hire after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
